Cheat/small affordable LEDs?

I've been looking around for a cheap/small led strip to put on my 40b growout for discus and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice/personal exp in the subject.

Petsmart now sells led strips pretty cheap. Beamswork also has cheap leds. I dont remember the site but google beamswork led or search on amazon.

Depending on how bright you want your tank, look into under cabinet led strips at Lowes. I have an 18" strip (4 leds) on my 29 gallon. Ran about $20, and they are linkable.

If you want to go cheap cheap look into either 10w led flood lights or gu10 bulbs.

I bought the Harbor freight led light. It is the one with 4 rotatable sockets with 3 leds in each socket. I tore it apart since it was battery powered and wired in a 9v wall cord from some random electronic device I no longer use. Looks great and was only $9.99. Im running them on my 180 for night/evening lights.

So I am going to give one of my favorite small time vendors a plug here. I have a jumbo sized gun safe and at the local shows this couple is always making about a thousand sales a day of their personally manufactured LED light strips. They include switches and buttons to turn them on and the white is super bright in my safe. For like 15-20 feet of LED light strand is $40 at the gun shows. I have often thought of asking them to make an aquarium light setup since he makes them and the are AWESOME.
