I went to the most respectable fish store in the area just looking for something fun to add to the tank.... I found some nice F0 Sterbai Cory Cats, (beautiful orange) but at $24 a pop, I looked at the next tank over to find F1 "red shoulder" Severums... all very small, but I took home the largest specimen. He was greeted graciously but the question stands: Was the ID correct?

I'm not sure if it's a red shoulder sev or not, looks a bit young. Here's a pic of one of mine I used to have.

looks about right, they look very similar to green and turquise when young but it looks alot lighter so id say thats a red head

IMO they look like heros severus 'rio negro',i had 4 f1 which died due to ick but they looked the same.

It could be a red head sev. not sure it's to little.
