how do you keep your water clear? in an LFS they suggested that i use a ceramics put in the filter, is that right?

yeh ive seen that used before but another alternative is to use carbon bags, coral and those spungy things for ure filter media. The pond maintenance people use special crystals to treat my water along with these tablets that limit the amount of algae growth (therefore making the water clearer).yohan;2013738;2013738 said:

yeh ill find out wat tablets they are....all i can tell u now is that they are used to control algae growth...only used in ponds...yohan;2013782;2013782 said:

ok, so how long is the spike thats gonna end my life?
how many years it took before your RTCs slowed it growth?
around 3 years wen they reached 34-36''...then i barely noticed any growth...only people that hadnt seen them for a long time cud notice.
