Its not a Monster tank but 55gal is the start of the "big" tanks in my mind. The distinction being it no longer really fits into a corner like my 30 gal bowfront does.

Now I just have to stock it...

I have no idea. Any suggestions? I'd like to do a cold-water setup as i don't want to pay for heating it. (already heat my 30) So maybe fantails, moors, orandas? Yes, as in GOLDFISH. There I said it. It may be blasphemy but hey, I like them. Though I remain open to suggestions. Pics of 55's set-up would be awesome as well.

Maybe native fish? Sunfish are pretty, and you don't need to heat the tank.

there are plenty of interesting natives, much more interesting than goldfish imo. possibly warmouth or one of the larger sunfish
