i found this slate in the creek behind my house about half an hour ago. what do you think and what should i clean them with and i am goin to bake them to kill any thing that would be left on the cause i am planning on puting some of it in the twenty gallon i got cause i want to get a pair of marble convicts
tell me what you think

soak them in bleach for a day then drain that water and fill it with more water and add like a triple dose of dechlorinator and like that soak for like a day..... then bake just for fun and extra kicks haha

yeah i got big enough pot to do that but should i like use dawn dish soap and take a brush and scrub them or just do bleach or boil them just want to make sure they are clean
 
once soap is on it like never comes off and will poison your fish. if you're going to scrub use bleach and then dechlorinator
 
ok i can do that how long do u think that i should boil them i will just use hot water to scrub them then boil them then bake but how long should i boil them
 
i dunno,... maybe like an 10 mins or so, then let them dry and bake them for 30-60 mins
