got fish in friday and look what i got. his fins are deformed. instead of swimming, he kinda wobbles around

My first thought was
"send it to me"

Do you think it might have been some horrible injury? I was looking closely at the pic and there seems to be a minor injury to one of the fins and a little blood.:confused:
I sincerely HOPE that is the answer...the possibility of it being a defect brings the thought of pollution in the collecting area.

Which scares the HELL out of me.

It does look like a deformity. I have seen batches of commons that are completely healthy, and then one will be deformed in some way. In nature these wouldn't make it to be more than a couple months old at best.
