I've been experimenting with making my own filter pads out of walmart polyfiber, and cheesecloth and I'd thought I'd warn anyone wanting to do the same about using cheesecloth in filter pads. After a while the cheesecloth disintegrates the water, and actually gets in your tank. It makes a huge mess, so Id suggest against using cheesecloth. The polyfiber however is working pretty well.
