Hey guys, just wanted to get some clarification on the chemicals I'm using. When I talk to my LFS they're trying to sell me stuff of course and online it's mostly product recommendations because they work well but not what with and that type of stuff
Heres what I use with new water when I do WC: stress coat, stress zyme, ammo lock, and aquarium salt (all made by API).
For chemical spikes like nitrite I use Prime.
Now I've seen people keep mentioning water conditioner for WC and I've seen it but does my combination do the same thing? Is it ok to use those in conjunction? Would you recommend something else?
On top of that can you really overdo it with these chemicals (not counting the salt)? They all say non toxic to fish.
I'm not dumping loads of it in or anything but I just figured it'd be a good question to ask. I'd like to be as knowledgable as possible when it comes to taking care of my fish and take as much input as more experienced people can offer.
