Chemical burn/foggy aquarium glass

So i obtained a free tank and the person i got it from said the person before them cleaned the tank with some kind of chemical and all the glass panels are foggy and you could hardly see through into the tank so does anyone know if there's a way to fix this i don't got a pic right now currently I'll post a pic tomorrow it came with a free stand i could use so either way i don't care if the tank is junk just wondering if there's a way to fix it.

i know there is polish out there that may work. i would reseal it as well. if that chemical was strong enough to etch glass, it probley messed up the silicone.
