Hey guys. I'm just wondering if there is any kind of chemical to kill brown algae. I can't cure it in my tank. It's on my background, fake plant, and starting to appear on the sides and front glass. My water quality is great so I don't know what to do. I do regular water changes too. Any tips?

manual labor and scrub it off... i dont bother cleaning it off the back panal of my 130 gal. looks kinda cool with the black and brown. during WC's i just take out the plants and give them a good scrub and they are good to go. front and side panels just get a scrub down with a clean paper towel.

In the past I would take my decor and soak it in hot water while doing the wc. By the time I was done most would rinse off and the rest would fall off in a day or two. Never used chemicals. I'd just live with it on the background before scrubbing it, a scuffed of background will look worse than the algae.
