I have a 10 gallon i am going to set up soon (with in a week). Put a sponge filter in in and add naja grass with 10-20 cherrys and 7 (if i can find them all) marbled crayfish. Cherries are mixed sizes and the crayfish are 1/4 inch on the generous side. How long can i keep the crayfish in the tank and keep them from decimating the population of shrimp.

Hard to say, but i think its just a matter of time...

As a guess, i would say once the marbles reach the size of the cherries your going to start running into trouble... since my marbles of the same size some times like to pick on each other...

I've got about 40 Marbles in a 20L with 2 sponge filters. I feed them Massivore Delight which gives them a great blue color. The Biggest girl is 3-4" the second biggest is 2-3" the rest are from 2 berries that basically hatched at the same time. Now the interesting thing I've noticed is. Some of the babies are over 1" some are still 1/2" And I am constantly seeing one here and their with a missing claw.

That being said. Once the Marbles are bigger then the Cherries their going to pick them off one by one as they corner them. And they're going to fight each other here and their.
