Cherry Shrimp Brawl with Red Russian

I've got a several tanks with breeding colonies of cherry shrimp but I've never seen a group of cherry shrimp fight and kill a med/large snail. The other colonies have the same species and other species of snails. Anyone else ever seen this?

I know some people have kept scuds (Gammarus) and had them kill their nerites but leave pond snails alone...
