i know that the baby shrimp will be eaten, but i was wondering if older shrimp will be able to live with guppies? will they be harassed?

They'll be fine. Plenty of plants will deter the guppies from putting a large dent on the population.

We've had plenty of flower shrimp kept with many community fish and never had a problem, though it is suggested you give them places to hide out like others stated

I think even guppy's would eat the shrimp fry.

just my two cents
i put some guppies and some ghost shrimp in my 125g to cycle it for my gar.
the guppies conered the ghost shrimp and torn them apart. these were large ghost shrimp and nice fancy guppies. just putting it out there

Interesting. This is good to know because I wanted to do exactly this. However, it seems like I won't be adding guppies until my RCS have bred a few generations.

I was wondering, will siamese algae eater (3.5 inches) eat shrimp fry?
because I too have a 20 gallon with three otos, 1 cory (4 died =/), and that SAE.

Sorry if this is a post hijack, but it seems like the questions were answered, and i don't want to make another thread :)

Thanks!

It's possible that SAEs can eat young shrimps. There is no certainty however they will.
