Everyone in the Chicagoland and surrounding area, we have got a time and date for a small meet up!
Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, September 13th at 2pm. This should give people coming from Indy or other places not so close a chance to get there without leaving at the crack of dawn.
Lets meet up and enjoy the Shedd for all it has to offer. Tickets are $18 per person to do everything in the Shedd. The Oceanarium is still closed for renovation, but there is still a lot to see. If anyone knows anyone that can get us in behind the scenes that would be awesome, but if not it will still be fun.
We can also plan to hang out and grab some food after we tour around, this will give us some time to get to know everyone without the hassel of trying to put together a bbq or something. Off the Shedd website
uring the Oceanarium renovation, Kovler Family Hall (the foyer on the main floor) has been set up as a café, with tables and chairs and both a hot food kiosk, offering breakfast and lunch menus, and a grab-and-go counter with salads, cold sandwiches and other light fare and snacks. Both areas will offer bottled beverages and snacks and have childrens meals. Seating is reserved for café patrons.
Hours: 9 a.m. to closing (although one area or the other may be closed during some part of the day)
I will be looking forward to meeting everyone from the area, it should be a lot of fun! This will be family friendly, bring anyone you like! We can always arrange for drinks or dinner after while we are there if people are interested.
See you on the 13th!
