I am listening to the police scanner and it's nuts out there!!
The city even deployed snowmobiles.

I am too lazy to post it all, but I have been "tweeting" all night, maybe it will help some since the police scanner is immediate, versus the news will be delayed.

Quagmytwitr is my name if you want to follow and check out my updates.

Any thoughts from those Chicagoans? Have power? Are you pretty safe?

Hey Nick,

I heard how bad it was out there. It got nasty here today, but I am afraid you're getting way worse than we did. We only had about 3" of snow...but that was on top of about 1/2" of ice, followed up by 30-40 mph winds!

I saw power lines covered in ice that looked to be 2" in diameter bouncing up and down close to a foot! So far, we still have electricity.

I "think" I would rather have snow than ice, but it is absolutely insane in the city.
Check out the Wrigley Field cam if you want, you can see pieces of the roof that blew off and morons still walking around.

im south of u in stl and the storm didnt hit us like we thought they brought in the army to help us but then nothing really happened yet
 
Not much better up in Milwaukee. Thundersnow and flood advisories? Everything is shut down, stay in the house, sounds like an apocalypse movie! LOL

Price we pay to live in the Midwest!
 
I'm over in eastern Iowa by the quad cities......I just looked outside and my smart car is gone :( There's a lump of snow where it was parked though..
 
You must of got at least an inch snow then Andy :)

lol...I remember Eastern Iowa winters. I worked in Muscatine for awhile. It could be spring like one day, blizzard the next.

First winter for my 2001 Caddy STS. Let's just say that the touring tires that came on the car are AWEFUL. So much for $300 tires (I stress that I bought the car with those tires, I know you need all seasons here, lol)
