Old Town Aquarium is very nice. In the south suburbs there is Animal Island, its a dump but they have quality stock which is mostly geared more to hobbyists as opposed the the typical petsmart/petco selections. Not too far away is Aquaritica which is mostly sw but has a sweet shark pond and a great pizza joint down the street. Don't forget to squeeze in a trip to the shedd.
I just read a review on Old Town, seems pretty cool I will be sure to check it out!! Do you the addresses to these other places? Ive tried looking them up! But nothing

Old town is on wells about half a block south of North Ave.
Animal Island is in Midlothian on Cicero around 142nd, there is an adult hotel across the street called aura maybe you can Google directions there .
Aquatica is in Tinley Park on Oak Park Ave, about a mile south of 159th. If you head south until you see a train station there is a great pizza place across the street called Ed & Joes, its in a building built as a smal hotel for th 1897 worlds fair.
Feel free to pm me where you're staying and I can provide directions.
