hehe. i thought that title would get someones attention. but anywho who here feeds em? how well are they accepted? and how well do they work? i imagine from all the vitamins and stuff they should grow like crazy off em.

I feed them in the store to our big cichlids and cats in the 700 gallon display. The fish love them, but man are they messy!

Hm i would have expected that chicken livers aren't that healthy to feed to most fish. Unless you are feeding free range organic chicken livers, then it probably wouldn't be that great, battery and barn range chickens often suffer from liver problems from all chemicals and hormones they are fed. Such livers are probably full of such toxins, which would then be passed onto the fish.

well jconley where do you get u'rs? i found some last night at kroger they were tyson. i'm mostly just looking for a relatively inexpensive suplemental food for my big cats (10"-26").

never fed them

I don't feed them often, maybe once a month, but I get them at Giant.

can't find the gizzards anywhere yet. never really had to look for em before i've always lived on a farm and had em but now i'm in the city. just tried the livers though. trc x tsn tried and spit a few times then finally ate part of one and my niger ate an entire one but the rest just swam away in disgust. maybe it's an aquired taste lol.

well when my rtc x tsn was small i had a big package of beef liver and s/he loved it but my tsn wouldn't touch it. Liver is a weird gooey consistency and does dirty up the water more then the gizzards. And both my tsn and hybrid love the gizzards, They're sold at supermarkets in the meat section all over around here....
