Chiclid find

I found this guy the other day at a fish store labeled as a convict in a tank full of them. Looks like an Amarillo to me. I couldn't get a great pic and the glass was dirty, has a nice red guy. I think I might want to go and snatch him up.
What say you MFK?

Definitely some sort of Amphilophous. Hard to say exactly what species it is without knowing exactly where it came from.

Many Red Devils / Midas have similar coloring when young. Much more possible amph species than an amarillo to find at a lfs

Amphilophus are way too ambiguous to tell what that fish is with any accuracy.
