I have long held to the belief that children are brilliant. They are full of life passion and vision, that is until adults begin to tell them this can't be done or that can't be done. Until adults try to relive their youth through their kids aka-sports parents and in the process totally derail the kid from what they want to do.

I have seen many video's on youtube about brilliant kids and wanted to start a thread about it. The first video is of a kid who can rock the guitar and was encouraged by his parents. What I love about this video is what the older player tells the kid :headbang2:headbang2.

My wife and I have 8 kids and have put this practice into form for them, we want them to find what they want to do and do everything in our power to help them achieve it, not to give it to them but to assist them.

For example my daughter Josepha was reading grade 5-6 lvl chapter books with full comprehension when she entered kindergarden. The teachers reaction was :ROFL:, now that she is in grade 7 her teacher does not know what to do with her as she excells. Well without further adieu here is the vid, please enjoy.

FYI . . . That "Older Player," as you put it is the legendary, blues guitarist, Buddy Guy.
 
yes I know, have seen some very good acts at the yale in vancouver and at the georgia here in regina before the hotel burnt down
