Went to the local monster fish store today and they showed me a photo of a fish that looks a lot like a dorado. Photo had some asian persons (looked like china) carrying a fish that looked like it was just fished out of the water. 3 feet long or so. Head shape same as dorado, mouth same, smallish eye but the body was platnum white and fins yellow. couldnt see the tail fin. Shop owner said it's a rare but native fish to china. Anyone heard of this?

Some sort of a trout maybe? (Dorado kinda look troutish to me) I don't know but I'm certainly curious

''big mouth carp'' Elopichthys bambusa?

You mean Taimen? doubt that... i would guess they are pretty rare and protected... and they need pretty cold water too..
