Just wondering if anyone keeps these?
I'm looking for basic care info, feeding/temp/tank size/tankmates/etc.
Thanks

all I know is that they get massive.

They look much different as adults, they are also not a tropical fish although most often sold and kept that way.

Yeah, I found some adult pics.
They still look pretty cool.
If I ever do a pond I might get one or two...

maximum size 3 feet but they low grow 1 to 2 inches per year, they omnivore but prefers vegetation, they live 2 be about 20 to 25 years, they like cool water. :headbang2 HOPE IT HELP!

That helps.

I MIGHT possibly be setting up a 900-1000 gallon pond, if I do I might try and find one or two of these guys to put in there along with some Koi.

Maybe they are better with koi and goldfish because they are more cool water fish?????????????/
