Hey guys,
If anyone lives near Rockville, MD and is looking for these guys, Congressional Aquarium has 2 of them for $19.99 a piece. I was going to get one or both but they don't work with my current 55g fish parameters. They need colder and somewhat softer water. I have a 78-80 degree tank with harder water 10-12+. Also they would eventually outgrow the tank as they get to a decent size.

If anyone is looking for something in particular and lives in the area, let me know and I'll keep my eyes peeled for you.

i thot they only got like 8"?

yea... thats them for sure. Yes my 55g would be quite small for them, however, I wouldn't keep them once they get too big. My iridescent sharks, knifes, etc.. I put up on craigslist or a local forum and give them away to someone that can house them. As for the Hi-Fins... I have a feeling I would have trouble rehoming them as not many people have experience with them, they get uglier as they get older, and they are tough to house because they have certain demands that would limit your tank, pond, to them. They are also extremely delicate during their juvenile years and easily picked on. As for feeding they like to suck up sand and spit it out for foraging so even the substrate is very limiting.

All in all a cool fish, but someone with a pure love for these fish is needed. Otherwise you and the fish will be unhappy.
