i was wondering what you guys think about these fish going into a 2500-3000 outdoor pond? and how cold can the water get? some sites say 45 and others say 55 degrees... im afraid of them freezing... and with large koi fish putting in a 2-4 inch hi fin with 24 inch koi??

but I'm not sure its right or not ! most place in China have at least a few days below freezing temperature so may be the fish can survive in cold weather !

I'm pretty sure that it can take into the mid 50's temperature wise if you look at all the natural ranges of that fish and check their winter temperatures.
I remember someone said they had one survive overwintering in Michigan with just a pond deicer heater in the pond.
