Chinese knock off Ehiem's.

Anyone buy or use these knock off's that are sold on Ebay? They are shipping from Hong Kong.

There are professional and classic series and they look just like a clone of the Ehiem lines.

I am curious to see if anyone bought them and are using them? How do they work?

If they are just the same quailty then they would be a tremendous deal. I am not intrested in owning one myself but need to satisfy my curiosity.

you mean like my jebao one. a very good filter for the money, it was working alongside my eheim 2215 but its far better IME so i took the eheim down and didnt notice any diffrence. been running for 1.5 years without a problem. good strong flow (rated 1200l/h), and i use a lot of filter floss in the top 2 baskets, and really quiet. dont get me wrong i would, without a shadow of a doubt, buy a fluvel Fx5 if it would fit in my cabinet but the jebao is a great filter considering it cost me £30 off ebay brand new.

Heh yea that Is what I was thinking.

I have no experience with either company but on other forums I know the Jebo brand compact florencent lights and fixtures get a very bad wrap. Maybe rightfully so?

I've been using the Jebo 1500lph and the 1200lph on my grow out tank for about a year, i love the fact that they have five large media baskets each, and break down easy for cleaning. the flow rate seems a little bit less than my previous tetra 1200lph, but is real quiet. power consumption seems less as well. all in all i'm pretty happy with them. I have a couple HOBs from them as well no complaints either.

My oldest Eheim has been in continuous operation for 19 years now. Proof me wrong, but I don't think a knock-off can do that. If they could, they'd be producing their own lines. There is more to quality than design.
