Got 3 of them today. Just want to know some info about them and peoples experiences. I fed them about an hour after i put them in and they ate like 20 feeders in a minute within the 3 of them. I will try to get them off live but i heard it was difficult. They are not common here so i just grabbed them. I was only gonna buy 1 but the owner said he'd give me a good deal if i took all 3 so i took them. So please share your info.thanks.

btw they are about 2 inches.
 
They'll grow fast, get big (around 2 feet), and are like little submersed puppys. Mine follows me all over, is very docile. It wont bother anything that doest fit in his mouth. I got mine off of live, and a friend of mine had a small one that he got off of live as well. They love shrimp.

Congrats on a great pickup! they are awesome fish.
 
Hey rally regarding the feeding.... Did you just starve yours until it gave in to the market shrimp???
 
I starved it for a while, but I wouldnt starve a small one too much.
I tied a peice of shrimp to a fishing line (loosely) and made it look "live" to get him to eat it.
After a couple tries like that he was hooked:)
 
Ahhh, the fishing line trick. Hahaha, sounds so stupid but it works.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the three?

I paid about 15 for the 3 of them. he was selling them each for like 8$ but he said hed give them to me for 5 each if i got all 3. I figured if i didnt want them i could sell them and get my money back later anyway.
 
Thats a damn good deal.
