My turtle's shell is partially covered by a light white fungus. How do I treat it? What medicines do I use? I have read that soft shells die very easily from this so I need help fast :(

Give him a combinacion of the next treatments. You can use fungi stop and general topic from tetra. Also salt water dips will work out well. Put your turtle during 30 minutes several times a day in the medicasion. Use a bugget with water at the same temps of the main tank to medicate your turtle, then when treatement is over give your turt a short normal water bath to eliminate rests of the medicine before putting her back into the main tank. Also you must make shure that your keeping the main tank´s water very clean and that your turtle has the oportunity to bask when ever she wants. Keep us updated:nilly:

I have had good results with salt water baths.

So I put the recommended dosage of medicine into the bucket of water then give the turtle a slow rinse before I put it back in the tank? Also what kind of salt do I have to use, sea salt or other?

yes

sea salt. Use only one kind of treatment at a time in the bucket. It would be better if you could get true sea water
