hey guys
im gona get a cwd with some of my bday money in march
i was wondering how fast they grew compared to bearded dragons?
and throw out any tips u guys have on keeping these too as that would be helpful

they grow reasonably fast. well mine always did. they are real prone to nose rubbing. so you have to keep the side of there enslosure covered. most recomend going with an enclosure made of wood right from the start. but you could get away with lining three of the sides with something. i would also run something along the first 6 inches or so up the front of the enclosure to. it will help calm them down. i use wood grain contact paper that my dad gets from his work. best part is its free:D. if you get one shoot me a pm and ill see if i can get some extra and i can shoot some your way if you would like:thumbsup:
they dont take to well to real big temps swings either. if it gets to cold then they tend to do poorly. i used to always keep night time heating going for mine. either ceramic heaters or a red or purple light.
unlike the aussi water dragons they tend to be real flighty as well.

have you thought of an aussi water dragon? they are alot more tolerant of tempm swings. and they tend to be calmer. you pay a little more but they are all CB unlike to asians which are mostly WC

check this site out. some good info on there if i recall correctly.

with the asian water dragons you DO NOT want a huge temp drop. big temp swings will stress them out and has the potential to kill them. they arent super hardy when it comes to temps. i would try and keep the temps around 80 or so even at night. and just keep the humidity up.

they really need a water feature in the tank. water should be at least about 1/3 of the tank floor and deep enough that they can submerge themselves. i have a waterfall in my enclosure that mine LOVE
