Looks like Chitala chitala. We catch those out of the St. John River in Florida where their an invasive species.

Thanks! I was hoping lopis but it looked too thin and light lol)

Thats awesome! They are invasives in here too and have really been a problem with fisherfolk but not sure what sp. of chitala invaded our waters

The ones caught here are said to be too boney to be edible) but then again ive heard people make fish burgers outta them)

Agreed. I guess being in an archipelago with a rather abundant seafood, people just dont see them as food over here
