Chocolate Cichlids?

My question is; can I keep multiple chocolates together? I am hoping to order about four but wanted to check to see if they are really as gentle as I hear. Thanks for your time

Yes you can, four is the minimum I would say to spread out aggression but it should work

Thanks for the fast reply. I hear they are similar to Oscars but more mellow. Is this your experience?

Yes I have found they are very similar to oscars, they can be moody fish and often change their colours but are very peaceful. I have one who would attack any fish, my geo brasiliensis would attack him constantly and he wouldn’t do anything so I had to sell the geo. They are really gentle giants

Depends on the size of your tank.

People can't tell you how many fish to stop if you don't mention the size of your tank, especially if this is going to be their final tank and isn't just a grow out tank.

I have 1 in my community tank he's not aggressive at all you can keep them together mine I've had for 2 months and has went from 2" to 4 inches fast

I've got 4 together, they're young but growing well. Peaceful to each other and all other fish in tank.

I have a 5inch chocolate cichlid in 150gallon with 5inch polleni and plan on getting Gt, Oscar, jack Dempsey... Could that work????... Since my chocolate isn't really aggressive more on the peaceful side
