Chocolate for me

hi everyone,this is my first message,and I excuse for my bad english.

today I'll swap with a friend of mine (who breed chiclids as a job) my 6 male Firemouths with 6 juvie Hypselecara Temporalis (8 cm)
I' ll stock them in a 55g as far as a couple will establish ,then I'll get back the other four.

I noticed chocolate are mild chiclids,maybe the mildest of SA ones.
I appreciate their slow-motion movements with the head inclined at 45 degrees waitin' for something fallen on the surface.

I will try to do not overfeeding them cause I know the tank is the minimum required (I know 75 g would be better but I have no space for storing another one tank).
It will work a couple days /week of diet???

Why would you get 6? 1 will fit in a 55, just. Pair will not work in a 55.

Welcome fellow european MFK:er!
I say go for it, but I dont recommend adding chocolate cichlids, if you mean the fish im thinking of it would be way overstocked.

I thought it would be comprensible...
I would put 6 juveniles because I want to get a pair. the other four will come back to my friend.
A single specimen it's a foolish to me... fishes lives to couple them, not to live alone.

Get a bigger tank or choose a smaller species then. Chocolates are 11-12" messy fish, just like Oscars. 55 is possibly even a little too small for 1, forget 2.

I think that a 55 will do as long as the fish are juvies. But a 90 or something like that would be better when they have paired.

Fast, mines probably close to an inch a month.

February 4, No measurements sorry. About a week after I got him as an underfed beaten up little guy.

March 8.

He's got a decent case of Ich at the moment though unfortunately, hopefully pulls through.
