I found these and could not resist them.
Looking at the males' dorsals they are not very impressive. I am wondering if i can mix in a Black Sailfin to the mix to improve the dorsal fin.
If so how many F's would i need to wait to see an improvement in the dorsal finnage.

Also it would be interesting to see what would happen with ballooon moolie being mixed int.

i understand that with chocolates the deep coloring fades with each new generation. or is that a lie.

I personally don't like the balloon look. Petsmart here had balloon sailfins and they just looked like balloons with longer dorsal fins.

I wouldn't try mixing in any balloons because they're technically a deformity and they're not the healthiest fish. I don't know if the ballooning is a dominant or recessive trait either so I dont know if youd be able to get balloons out of a cross. The sailfin is similar in that Im not sure whether it is dominant or recessive (I dont breed mollies at all) but you should be able to see it expressed in some fry regardless. Whether or not the combination turns out nicely is another matter based entirely on luck :).
