Hi all, I rescued a few fish from craigslist about a month ago, and I unknowingly got a baby chocolate pleco with that whole ordeal (not sure if he's an albino common pleco instead since his eyes aren't red). Here he is, he's about 4 inches long right now:

Anyone know the growth rate and max size they can reach? The guy at the lfs thought he might stay under a foot, which my filtration should hopefully be able to handle after my plants spring back from moving them. My tank is only 90 gallons so if he is the same as a common pleco how long do you think I can keep him for before I have to upgrade? I'll be getting cholla driftwood for him to munch on soon and he likes eating shrimp pellets that escape from my cichlids along with the tank algae (he doesn't know what zucchinis are yet) so I'm concerned that he might get huge real fast. Thanks!

I had one at 15 inches. In theory they should get as big as a common. Growth will depend mainly on feeding. If you feed him lightly(make sure he still gets food so he doesn't starve) it should slow his growth. I have a baby pleco(common) that I'm only feeding every 2-3 days and he is still tiny.
