Just sharing my temporalis that I have been growing out. Got them in Dec of '17 and are now about 7 inch. Grow fairly slow but are beginning to prove the wait. I have 6 in a 400g.

I have always steered towards big brute cichlid pairs but I'm really enjoying this group and the large community tank.
Your patience (and the work I'm sure you've put in) is well rewarded. They are lovely!
I've always liked Chocolate Cichlid's. The males look awesome with their nuchial hump and the colors once they mature.
They look great! Mine are much smaller, but I love the way they change color at the drop of a hat. Do the larger ones continue to do that?
