What species of datnoid would be well-suited to a 150 gallon tank? The dimensions are 48x24x30.
Hey i have the same tank....I have Indo and thin bars going in a few weeks when I set up....i have two silvers growing up to go in there....I am not sure about for life, but the 24" width should keep em happy for years!

where in CT?? Tough finding Dats round these parts!! where do you shop??

I know some great places thatll order and I think I remember seeing some... have you ever heard of house of fins? where do you get yours tho? and whatever I put in the 150 is staying in the 150, I dont have a way to upgrade for probably the next decade

Same deal. i am upgrading my 52 gallon as we speak....Been putting together the 150 since I got the tank on e-bay 7 weeks ago. I shop all over. House of fins is in East hartford near Rens field right? i just got two tiny silvers at emmons in Simbury. Nice small store....very pricey! I got my two Thin bars at Puppy center in west hartford.....great pricing on tanks and equiptment....hit or miss with fish....When the 150 is up I will wait till spring for mail order.....my 52 has almost enough stock to fill the 150 so I will be very selective from here on out....looking for 5-6 inch Dats of any Species....Widebar preferred of course!

Haha I've been setting up my 150 for 4 years... the fish that I was going to use the 150 as an upgrade for died 3 years and 10 months ago xD and now I'm left with a 150 gallon tank I can do whatever the heck I want with! And house of fins is in greenwich, I think they are more pricey than any fish store you've ever seen! That being said, their selection is insane.... first time I went there they had a 2 ft blacktip reef shark for sale!

Oh yeah! I have been meaning to check that place out! I am almost never in Greenwich....I was the Chef at Cobbs Mill Inn once upon a time.....now I live in the sticks! Let me know what their Dat selection is if you go by there!!

I gotta cycle the tank before I start adding any fish but I'll check it out and let you know.... theres also a place in Westport I think thats pretty good but I don't know if it has Dats.... everywhere else near me kinda sucks as far as I know, mostly petcos and petsmarts. I'll have to check out some of the places you listed if I dont have luck at house of fins
