Hey all,

Well the other night I bought a 3" Tiger Oscar kind of on impulse. I have a cycled tank that was waiting for my green sunfish to come back from home, but I think I am going to keep them there, since I really like this oscar haha. Anyways, it's a 30 gallon (yes, I am aware I will need a bigger tank w/in 3 months), and it is all setup besides lighting. Now, I am on a college budget...aka broke...and I am looking for some advice on lighting. I wanna keep this cheap. I am completely cool with something that is DIY. I prefer it actually because $$.

So what would you do? It doesn't need to be the best, or even permanent, just something so I can see everything I've been piecing together for what seems like forever haha

Thanks

well for a 30 gallon an aquarium florescent light fixture isnt that expensive maybe like 30 bucks if even that or check craigslist i see some people giving them away on there good luck! you could always get a lamp and just use that haha probably the cheapest way to do it

Yeah I am going to take that route ^ my desk light above the tank lights it up plenty for now. When I get a 75 or 125 this summer then I'll spend the $ for it
