We were watching the Olympics yesterday, and totally could not believe how she kept pushing him on & on. It was so obvious that he was trying to maintain composure, his face started flinching, squeezing his eyes, etc...then Bam! he doubles over and loses it !
We were flipping out :-o "omg WHAT IS SHE DOING TO HIM?"

How about anyone else who watched that?

We saw it. Have absolutely no respect for that POS and very little for NBC in that they had hours to decide not to show it. If that is the only way you can do your job, do the world a favor and kill yourself. World will be a better place.

i don't get the backlash, you guys know bode has come out and said he had no problem with the interview, why do you?

christian cooper is a former olympian herself and friends with bode miller. basically giving her the guts to push him a lil further then most people would've

No. A friend would not have pushed just to get a reaction to further their career. She is a POS.

what career? she's a former olympian who does interviews every 4 years. hahaha.

seriously, bode miller said she's a good woman and the interview didin't bother him. why does it bother you?

He is a gentleman and a professional, he is not going to stoop to her level. It should bother anyone that someone wants to feel better about themselves by tearing another down.

A gentlemen? you dont' know bode then. he's been the bad boy of the olympics for over a decade. a reputation well earned. he cries on tv and now he's a gentlemen?

No, he's a gentleman because he is standing up for a lady who does not deserve the title.

me and my husbands' reaction was not "backlash" because we felt horrible instantly, while watching her interview tactics.
Viewers have an immediate response.
A friend? does not do that. but yeah, Bode is being very gracious toward her.
Realistically, he is in the public eye and ultimately at the mercy of all media. so it would not go very well in the future if he did not make an effort to cushion her against the entire viewerships' revulsion, would it? If media is for you it's great, but if not then you're walking amidst hyenas.
She pushed to get an agonizing Olympic "moment". Good journalists capture what unfolds, not force and orchestrate.
It just felt horrible watching.
My husband blurted out "She's a vampire. she is sucking the tears right out of his eyes with a big plunger!" and made plunging motions at the tv :-o

Why do we have a problem with that? because she created a spectacle of Bode's pain, and her targeted audience hated the moment. worst ever.
Bode was obviously having "a problem" while she did it.

Shocking, a former Olympian showed poor tactics? Shes not a polished journalist. She was on the right track, just asked poor questions. It wasn't like so NBC Never had to show it. Your anger should be directed at them, not 2 friends talking

Bode is literally a career bad boy and most likely in his last Olympics at 35 years old (his 5th btw). Hes more likely to want to choke her out then stand up for her. I believe he truly doesn't have an issue with her. He got caught in raw emotion and broke. It happens.
