Christmas Suprise!

My boyfriend is a great man! Despite being nearly broke, he still managed to get me some silver for Christmas!
A pair of Silver Arowanas!
Yes, I know they will outgrow my current tank, and probably fairly quickly. I am in the process of trying to purchase a 450gal acrylic tank to house these babies!
Couldn't get any decent pictures of them. I'm amazed how active these fish are! I always see big unhappy ones in too-small tanks looking rather listless, I am so happy with these guys though, they're gorgeous!

Congrats they look great. Keep updating regularly on their growth. It's amazing how fast they become monsters.

be very careful two silvers dont always get along make sure they both get food...but hey they look awesome

Current tankmates are an asian needlefish, Freshwater barracuda tetra, 2 pictus type catfish, and a senegal bichir.

they can survive in that tank for a very long time! nice clean water too! they r in good hands. get them on pellets cuz it saves u a lot of trouble and curbs aggression! gj!
