So after about a dozen tries the micro pair finally figured it out and I have about 300 free swimming fry. Eggs hatched in about 2.5 days but took over a week to get free swimming. I have some great video of this but frankly I must be doing something wrong as I get errors when I try to post. Anyway I had almost given up on this pair but I think they just take a REALLY long time to become mature parents. Male is about a foot, maybe more. Female is about 10".

Congrats, getting them to spawn successfully is definitely an accomplishment.
My Chuco intermedia were older and very good size before they decided to spawn too.
Have you tried putting your videos on Youtube first?
Once I did that, just uploading the youtube link to MFK worked really well.

I've got about 300 fry right now growing out. They are about to spawn again! I also have a reserve pair in another tank that I'm starting to think about selling or trading. Same size as current pair.
