Cichla 300 gal Stocking Ideas...

I know, another stock question...because these are never posted.

But, looking to stock my 8x30"x24" tank. I have a florida gar and clown knife that will be going in it right away. But I am going to grow out several cichla in my 75 to join them. I am thinking 3 orino and 2 mono from Discus Origins (they are ~ 2-2.5"). But I saw Jeff Rapps also has Pinima and Azul in stock. I've never kept either, but thinking they may get too large. Thoughts, experience?

The orino and monos will be a lot more manageable in your tank. If it were me id go all orino.

Yeah I would nix the Mono's and add some kels. Just my two cents. Sweet tank though!

If grown out together those orinos will go hammer on some kels.

Thanks guys. Honestly, I'm not a fan of kels and prefer the look of monos. I think I'll start with 2 mono and 3 orino in my 75 and forgo the the pinima and azul.
