Hi there, I currently have a 150 gallon tank with two pike cichlids, a flagtail and a cichla ocellaris and cichla peruvian mono.
In my garage I have a 75 gallon that is being used since my move as hold / grow out tank. It is very crowded and has 3 loaches, an 8 inch frontosa,
an 8 inch ctenopoma, a 6 inch ghost knife fish, a 7 inch tigrinus catfish, a 5 inch leopard synodontis and two 4 inch cichla orinos and one 2.5 inch cichla kelberi. Anyway,
quite the crowd so I got my other 90 gallon up and running today. Had wet sand full of biowaste, but not a ton, and I added a small amount of bacterial startup chemicals, but not
big chemical guy. Anyway has one fluval fx5 on it with carbon, usual fluval crap filters and purigen. I am moving the three cichla and the tigrinus over. How long do you think I should cycle to be safe?
I cycled my 150 for a week and still had some major spikes I had to deal with, opinions all? Want to be extra safe as these are some beautiful bass but my tigrinus especially I want to make sure everything
is perfect in terms of biological filter before I move them over. Any opinions? Thanks
