Cichla and Big Clown Loaches

For those out there in the MFK community that has cichla and clown loaches in the same tank, have you had any problems with aggression between the two species?

FishnCash would be the man to ask this question.
If it can fit in their mouthes....they will eat it.
 
I have had them together and I would see the bass try to hunt them. Had one eat one and it got stuck in its mouth and couldn't swallow it cause of the side spurs on the loach came out but it couldn't come out either so I had to pull the loach out of the basses mouth. Loach died by the time I found the bass had it in its mouth. Bass was 5inches... Loach was 3.5 inches... So now I don't mix them unless I know the bass can't get them in their mouth.

What if the loach is same size or bigger? I have 4 bass about 8 to 10 inches and the clown loach I might be able to get is supposedly 9 inches. I just worry if they will try to attack each other.
