how many people are keeping snails for an additional cleanup crew in cichla tanks i have mts snails and red rams horn snails and zebra nerites in mine cracks me up to watch the bass swim over to the glass and push the snails off they watch it drop and just turn away like ok im entertained now lol

No snails in my tanks. I figured they would just eat the hekk outta of em. How big are the snails and how big are the cichla?

That's hysterical! We've stayed away from snails due to the stories I've read about their numbers exploding! However, I would looooove to see our pbass play the game you described. Sounds highly entertaining!

my big mono i use to have use to play ping pong with em he would put them in his mouth spit em out swim back around and head but it over and over lol..

THATS FUNNY BUT I HEARD THE WAY SNAILS CAN REPRODUCE AND TAKE OVER A TANK SO I NEVER HAVE PUT SNAILS IN MY TANK PLEASE POST SOME PICS OR EVEN BETTER A VID OF IT

They breed like rabbits, and like Gangster said, they may end up eating them, and that can't be good.

actually they dont eat them the rams horns are plenty soft for them to digest shell and all and alot of the plant guys will grab mts to keep there substrate turned over. You dont see them much until night time and clown loaches will make short work of a slight population explosion. Or just weight down a piece of lettuce they will attack it then you simply remove the weight and throw the lettuce away snails and all.
I keep them in all my tanks they help break down any uneaten food and complete the process of an eco system.
My fish range from 3 to 9 inches except my two inch dat . Also keep in mind the next time you clean a trout there bellys are usually digesting a few snails its natural for fish to eat bugs
