Cichla are always freaked

Do you guys know how to make the cichla settle down more??
When I walk by the tank they all go crazy.

yeah mines used to be like that, and i always worried but ever since i put them in a tank with the black background they hardly freak.

every now and them my go crazy and try to swim through glass

Yea, it scares me, and they splash everywhere. Maybe if I do more water changes.

My occelaris are not like that, but my young tems are.

for me the more i go in the tank and move things lik for cleaning and stuff eventhough evertyhting goes back to the same place the more the freak i just try to leave them alone
i think its just that they want more space to swim arounds and do what ever it is they do in the wild
my fish were wild cought

same here. my fish gets scared everytime i go near it. i guess its only when they are young and when they get bigger and older, they tend to calm down.

i have this problem on my smaller tank with my baby orinos. But my big tank they all flock to the side i am on when i walk in the room. I have no idea why. I know they are looking for food but they are never scared

what type of cichla?

10 orinos and 1 mono. I think I might need to do more water changes to take down their stress level.
