I have some cichla brokopondos, these are a bit bigger, fatter at 3.5" $120.00 each.
shipping via fedex, live arrival guaranteed. $65.00 for shipping overnight to your door.
Paypal to amazonaq@gmail.com

Centropomus sp. "true snooks" see kendragon's big one in freshwater that is over 14" now. $120.00 each

Geophagus sp. "brokopondo" $25.00 each I have 6 total only.

After this next week they'll all be shipped out to China.

notice the different types of snooks, body shape and anal fin.

I have sword spine, black snook, common snook, and fat snook. all growing to various sizes, please google up for specific size information. swordspine is the smallest of them all, reaching a whopping 12" which this one is easy to differentiate, the others are harder to tell apart due to varying degrees of body composition making them difficult to distinguish.

the brokopondos from this batch are very big and robust.

is the cichla brokopondo a occel variant? Saw a pic on the net saying cichla occel "brokopondo".

According to scientists, the peacock bass from Suriname are the true occelaris then that makes all the ones you see in the domestic market, either monoculus or hybrids and such.

If we agree that besides the monoculus on the market, others are all occelaris, then it makes this fish "unique" I dare not say a new specie, but we'll let the picture speak for itself, as the fish from juvenile to adult looks nothing like anything you'll see in any domestic peacock bass.

If you can seperate Cyphotilapia frontosa, and gibberosa...you get my point.

The picture speaks for itself, this is cropped from a friend's fish, hope he doesn't mind me using his picture.

As for rare, these were first introduced by me 1.5 years ago, and since then there are only 3 importers of this fish worldwide. Jeff Rapps, Oliver, and myself.

Do you have any snook that are confirmed fat snook?

you want to tell me how to confirm one from the other 13 or so species? if it doesn't look plain, black, long anal fin, and has a taller, shorter body, I'm going to call it fat snook, that is the best I can do without counting scales and fins, but out of this batch, I'm actually out of anything like that already.
