Cichla communing questions

Hi guys,

Im growing out 2 temensis, 2 kelberi, 1 monoc/occel. And might get a couple azuls (just might)

My problem is i want to commune them with a couple of emperor cichlids.. The emperor wis a bit bigger. Do you think thwy can catch up? Or should i just wait till the emperor slows down growing?
