Cichla feedig question

This may be a noob question but recently (last 2months or so) my cichlas hav been pretty lazy on the food. Like, they are not as aggressive and dont splash water everywhere like they used to.

Is this normal behavior or am I doing something wrong?

My filtration is good and they have plenty of room.

Could it be my lighting?

Thank you! :D Yeah I changed it from regular strip lights to this spot light like 2 months ago to but they acted normal in the beginning
 
My bass do this sometimes. Randomly its like they will go on strike a few days and not eat very well. Goes back to normal after a couple days for me.
