I have two Orinosensis in a 200 gal. One is 13" the other is 10". Ive had them for a month. They either are tear n each other apart or get n jiggy with it. It gets so bad that Ive seperated them for a few days. Sometimes they ripp chunks out of each other. I have heard that there one of the most brutally agressive Cichla. My ? is this, how bad can it get in a pre spawn or courting? Can they court for years sometimes? Thanks! Gary Anybody?

My rio meta Orinos are aggro as well. They are the Kings in their respective tanks even though they are not the biggest cichla in them.
When I turn the lights on in the Mournning.....They lock jaws and then looks like there gonna kill one another, gos on for a min....then they chill.....then there tail slapp n in the nest...
Yes, two pairs,two seperate tanks.This pair is two years old. They laid eggs for old owner, but the party was crashed by a group of rays.....Hey u see the real fights on Sat???

my rio metas are really aggressive too, one is pretty mean to the other two, will even go up to the piquiti that are like 1.5x as big and flare at them, definitely the most aggressive cichla i've had to date, even more so than the big group of temensis i used to have
