i have been building a 4500ltr tank over the past months and i still cant decide on how to filter the thing :nilly: as i want it to handle the feed load that big cichla require with out worrying about things going wrong
so many options wet dry /fluidised bed /bubble bead /sand filter /denitrate /uv /nexus filter the list goes on what do yous think would be the best way that will stand up to the cichla and provide them with good water

You could do a wet dry with fluidized sand filter, that'd be sweet. :) You don't have to pick one. You can do multiples.

UV for me a must. My UV lamp stopped working two days ago. 1 Day ago my water got really dense with who knows what. Fixed the UV and it is clear as whistle again.

i use uv too... you should post this in the filteration forum.. if their was a mod around they should move it

yeh youd get a better response in the setup & filtration forum but just so you know i use a 5ft sump filter with a UV sterilizer..

large sump of submerged media....:D
