Cichla hard to mix?

Okay I have one tank 40g with 3 occels that are 4-5" and another tank 50g with 2 6" tems and a 5" orino. I tried to put one of the 5" occelaris in with tems and orino and they all kept chasing him into the corner. I switched of the lights and left them over night but there was no change in the morning.
Do you guys have any tips on how to mix these guys. I plan to add them all when they hit 8" to my big tank (78x24x20) with my siver aro and rtgg.

orinos are bad mother F'ers...Tems are mean as well..get some target fish, like tin-fo barbs and Some silver dollars to deflect aggression..

I already have 5 silver dollars in with the tems and orino. Will they mix better in the bigger tank with more space.

just get anything fast moving...so the orinos and tems will not point their aggression towards one fish...if you don't it will seriously stress the living crap outta the occel...lol get the Tin foil barbs their really fast and school to your orinos and tems has to try to get past them...silver dollars are another good choice...how many do you have?
