cichla help

im getting a 220g tank next week and i was planning on stocking it with some pbass
first i was wondering if they could stay in there for life or if i needed a larger tank and second how many would be a good amount i was thinking bout picking up 3 ocel and 2 pinimas

all the help would be much appreciated
 
You would not be able to keep all of them in there for life. what size are they now? you could prob keep 2 in there for life but you will not be able to put much other things in there
 
you could keep some bass in there for probably 1.5 -2yrs but then youd have to upgrade, 5 p.bass is a good number to start with if theyre young ones, get occelaris or monoculus as i think pinima grow a bit larger
 
Its going to be wayyy too small of a tank for all of those cichlas in the 220g...Uhmm Yu can prolly get away with have some of the other cichlas besides the Pinimas as they are one of the larger growing and aggressive cichlas. Will yu be getting anything in longrun like a pond or larger tank? If yu are getting something around 300+ then yu can. But should be with good width for a pinima at adult size
 
yeah if they are small but if you are planning on buying them 6-10" already then i would only keep like 3 max and you would need to upgrade soon
 
i was planning on getting them small growing them out in a 55g
but as for upgrade...i was planning on getting a 360 or a 400
if not i have an outdoor pond 8'X3'X3
 
and also any other suggestion on what i could keep
i was doin a lil looking around nd im rethinking i should go with monos and orinos
 
I like Orinos and monos.. I got 3 pinima now but idk how long ill be keeping them because they get pretty big.. but they are nice too. but if i was you i would go orino and ocell/mono.. but if you get the pond then you can get what you want
 
Yeah I love tems but I know ill never be able to house them for life. So I have my second favs wild ocells and monos
 
if I were you I'd go with 3 orinos/ocells or monos, otherwise you could go with one of each..
